You will discover the philosophical approach of the Dojo, frameworks of thinking like a VO pro, exploring the possibilities, and setting baselines to see where you are starting! You will learn where to find V.O. work, and you will design and practice your One Liner.
Part 2:
Breaking it Down: Commercials
In Part 2, you will create your toolbox of tools and techniques. You will learn to think like a copywriter to construct and deconstruct a script in order to analyze copy.
You will discover the pre-flight checklist, 5 parts of the braid of analysis, and the first level of nuance in commercials, the difference between TV and radio!
Part 3:
Working It: Commercials
In Part 3, you continue to go deeper into the next levels of nuance in Commercials, like calibrating intention, intimacy, and energy.
You will practice the proximity and vulnerability exercises, and discover the Sell-O-Meter. We will put it all together in the audition process!
Part 4:
Telling The Story: Narration
Part 4 will have you exploring all the many opportunities in the realm of Narration. You will practice scripts for many types of narration, including industrial, corporate, explainer videos, e-learning, medical, pharmaceutical, TV, promo, trailers and audiobooks.
Part 5:
Bringing It To Life: Animation
Part 5 is all about Animation. You will learn the fundamentals and essentials. You will discover what it means to have permission to play, the building blocks of Animation, and even create your elephant sibling!
You will explore animation scripts, and discover a recipe for classic cartoon characters.
Part 6:
Inhabit the World Fully: Video Games
Are you a Gamer? Have you dreamed of voicing a gaming character? In Part 6, you will discover the types of games and terminology used in this Billion Dollar Industry. Get to know the players, the fundamentals, and the essentials, and be in the scene (including practicing your death scene)!
Part 7:
Taking the Leap: Equipment
In Part 7, you will discover the difference between Practice, Audition, and Session quality equipment.
You will learn the flow of a V.O. session, and the importance of your internal equipment - your vocal care!
